Maz

About

The sound

Maz is a Brazilian DJ and producer working across Afro house and melodic electronic music. His catalogue includes a remix of Luedji Luna’s Banho de Folhas, Amana and Jolie Fille. Collaborations with Antdot include Corpo e Canção with Letícia Fialho. The pair also share back-to-back DJ recordings, connecting their studio collaborations with longer sets presented through Maz’s artist channels. He has devoted himself to production and DJing since 2015, developing a sound in which Portuguese-language vocals meet Brazilian rhythms and organic electronic textures. His collaboration with Antdot extends to Dawn Patrol Records, where the pair have supported other producers as well as releasing their own music. Much of their studio work develops remotely, with musical ideas exchanged and refined between them before reaching the finished record.
