About
The sound
Melanie C is an English singer, songwriter and DJ known both for her solo career and as Sporty Spice in the Spice Girls. Her solo catalogue includes Northern Star, This Time, The Sea and Stages, moving across pop, dance and other song-based styles. Northern Star includes Never Be the Same Again, while her recordings also include the Bryan Adams collaboration When You’re Gone. Her later work includes the self-titled Melanie C project and the 2026 album Sweat, whose songs include Drum Machine, Pressure and Attitude. DJing has developed alongside her work as a singer: she has contributed mixes and radio appearances as well as continuing to perform with a band. Those parallel formats bring her recorded pop repertoire and her interest in club music into different live settings.
