About
The sound
Melanie Ribbe is a German-born, Jamaican-raised DJ and producer working in tech house. She began making cassette mixes as a child, later moving to digital mixing and studying at the London Academy of Music Production. Her professional development included a Miami Music Week debut in 2015, followed by touring and residencies that helped establish her as a club DJ. Her early recording work included Get It Right on Moon Harbour, followed by releases on Saved, Viva Limited, Mindshake and Roush, as well as appearances on Toolroom compilations. Collaborations with Paco Osuna and Reboot added to that catalogue. In 2020 she founded Agápe Muzik, creating a home for her own releases and the Agápe Showcases. Her debut artist album, Dance Again, arrived on the label in June 2021. She has also developed radio and filmed DJ projects, including Groove Nation and the Melanie Ribbe x Drop series.
