The sound

Melé is a DJ, producer and label founder from the Wirral whose music draws together house, Brazilian rhythms and hip-hop. He began DJing at thirteen after an early interest in hip-hop led him towards electronic music. His 2015 track Ambience became an important early release, establishing the percussion-led approach that runs through his club productions and DJ sets. In 2018 he founded Club Bad, a Liverpool party series and record label. The label has provided a home for his own productions as well as music from artists including Bontan. His remix and collaboration history has also involved artists such as Kano, Mabel and Armand Van Helden. Alongside releases, the Melé’s Manor Rhythms mix series has offered another outlet for his selections, bringing his influences together in longer DJ formats.
