About
The sound
Mella Dee is the DJ and production name of Ryan Aitchison, who grew up in Doncaster and developed his career in London. He has also recorded as No Face. His work has moved between house, techno, breakbeat and disco influences, with releases including Techno Disco Tool and Take Control. In 2024 he launched Nothing Stays The Same at Glastonbury, developing it into a party series and record label. The project places experimentation at the centre of his approach, drawing together selectors with different musical backgrounds rather than fixing a single style. His subsequent recording work has included releases on fabric records and Saoirse’s trUst label.
