About
The sound
Mike Morrisey is a Manchester DJ and producer whose career includes work with the Libero and Zest imprints. His development as a DJ included a Kaluki residency and appearances at The Warehouse Project, Sankeys and BPM Festival. Alongside performing, he has built his own releases and label projects within the UK house scene. In 2021 he released the No Gas EP on Black Seven Music, with label founders BRODYR contributing a remix. In an interview around the release, he described production as a way to turn an idea into a finished recording and DJing as a different, equally important part of his work. His accounts of Libero and The Warehouse Project trace how those studio and performance activities developed together.
