About

The sound

MiNNA is a London selector whose sets move through disco, vocal house and records from beyond the usual club categories. Her interest in music began with record hunting at twelve, alongside learning guitar. The warmth of 1970s disco and the directness of older vocal records remain central to the way she builds a set. She has also developed NiGHTOWL with her brother, creating a setting for their shared musical interests. Her DJ work has taken her to rooms including fabric, The Jazz Cafe and Berlin’s Heideglühen. Across those different settings, the focus remains on selection: connecting familiar vocal hooks with discoveries drawn from a broad record collection.
