About

The sound

MK is Marc Kinchen, the Detroit-born producer, remixer, DJ and Area10 label founder. Always and Burning helped establish his early house catalogue, while the 4th Measure Men alias produced 4 You and Just A Dream. His remixes of Nightcrawlers’ Push The Feeling On became another defining part of that period. Work with Will Smith and Diane Warren broadened his studio experience into R&B before his remix of Storm Queen’s Look Right Through reached number one in the UK in 2013. His later catalogue includes Piece of Me with Becky Hill, 17, Back & Forth and One Night with Sonny Fodera. The remix work spans artists including Disclosure, Lana Del Rey and Rudimental. His own SoundCloud archive brings together newer productions such as Zone and Leaving with DJ recordings and Area10 On Air broadcasts. Across these formats, Kinchen connects vocal songwriting and remix production with the selection and extended arrangements of house music.
