MoBlack

About

The sound

MoBlack is Italian DJ and producer Mimmo Falcone. His musical path connects Naples with Ghana, where he moved in 2003 and continued DJing and producing while working with local musicians. Deep house provided a foundation for the MoBlack project, with African rhythms and collaborations shaping its direction. He founded MoBlack Records to help bring that work to an international audience, developing a catalogue rooted in Afro-house and related sounds. His own productions include releases on Defected, while his DJ work moves between Afro-house, Afro-tech and melodic electronic music. The label and artist project share that musical background, with collaboration forming a central part of their development.
