About
The sound
Natasha Diggs is a New York DJ and producer whose musical education began with collecting records as a teenager. Her all-7-inch selections at Mobile Mondays helped establish the nickname “The 45 Queen.” Soul, funk and music built around live instrumentation remain important reference points in her wide-ranging sets. Her work has included touring with Lauryn Hill, playing alongside Q-Tip at Output and contributing to Abstract Radio. At Soul in the Horn, she has brought horn-led music into a setting that connects DJs with live performers. Appearances on Crate Diggers, Mixmag Lab and Boiler Room have offered further ways to hear her approach to selection. Her own recording work includes “Think About This Day” with Omar Lye-Fook, a release that brings an Afrobeat-influenced horn arrangement into her musical world.
