Neverdogs

About

The sound

Neverdogs is the Italian DJ and production partnership of Tommy Paone and Marco De Gregorio. Their house and techno draws on different musical backgrounds: Paone’s influences include punk, electro and experimental rock, while De Gregorio brings an interest in Depeche Mode, Yazoo and 1980s house. Longer sets give those references space to develop through rhythm and atmosphere. Their productions have appeared through Mindshake, Tamango, Snatch!, Moan, Deeperfect and their own Bamboleo Records. Details, released on Bamboleo in 2019, brought thirteen tracks into an album format, extending their studio work beyond individual club releases. Its varied moods connect the duo’s dance-floor music with a broader listening experience. Bamboleo also provides an outlet for recordings by artists such as Reelow, Matteo Gatti, Sebastian Ledher and George Smeddles. That label activity runs alongside Neverdogs’ own productions and recorded DJ sets, linking their work as selectors with the music they release and support.
