About

The sound

Nicole Moudaber is a techno DJ, producer and founder of MOOD Records. Originally from Nigeria, she began as a promoter in Beirut’s underground club scene before developing her work behind the decks and in the studio. That background connects her own music with the organisation and support of dance music communities. InTheMood spans a weekly radio programme, a monthly Apple Music show and a party concept, giving her selections a life beyond individual club sets. MOOD Records releases established producers alongside emerging talent, extending that curatorial role into recorded music. Her collaborations include Carl Cox, Chris Liebing, Jamie Jones, Ida Engberg, Skin, Moby and the London Community Gospel Choir. Those projects bring electronic production into contact with other voices and musical backgrounds. Alongside her label and performance work, she advocates for gender equality and wider inclusion in electronic music.
