PARAMIDA

About

The sound

PARAMIDA is a DJ, producer and the founder of Love On The Rocks, a label shaped by her wide-ranging record collection. After moving from Frankfurt to Berlin in 2010, she worked at OYE Records and developed a DJ approach that connects proto-house, techno, trance, new beat and Italian house. Rather than organising her sets around a single style, she draws connections between different periods of dance music. She launched Love On The Rocks in 2014, combining new productions with rediscovered records and reissues. The label has released music by Massimiliano Pagliara and Fantastic Man, while its Supergau compilations offer space for further discoveries. Her own productions include the EPs Dream Ritual and Moonrise VII, alongside Konbanwa and a collaboration with E-Talking for Phonica’s twentieth-anniversary compilation in 2023. Radio has provided another outlet for her selection: she began a Rinse FM show in 2019, followed by programmes on Refuge Worldwide and EOS in 2021. Her earlier club work included residencies at Renate, Robert Johnson and Panorama Bar, connecting a life spent collecting records with different spaces for playing them.
