About

The sound

Petre Inspirescu is a Romanian DJ and producer associated with Bucharest's underground electronic scene. Also known as Pedro, he began DJing at the city's Web Club in 1999. His sets developed from deep house into a broader, exploratory approach to groove, with careful sequencing and detailed rhythms at the centre of the music. Alongside Rhadoo and Raresh, he became part of the a:rpia:r label circle that helped define a distinct strand of Romanian electronic music. His recorded catalogue includes the “fabric 68” mix, bringing that patient approach to selection into a continuous listening format.
