About
The sound
Phil Berg is a techno DJ and producer whose work connects driving rhythms with deep, atmospheric grooves. Vinyl releases for SK_eleven and Phorum, singles for HAYES and Frenzy, and his Vault Sessions residency form distinct parts of that practice.
His own Bandcamp catalogue includes Antipole, Escape232, Mirror Maze, Utaroh and Transistance. The Thrust EP appears alongside the ARCHIVE releases, giving listeners both focused EP sequences and a broader selection of his recorded work.
His own catalogue also includes Everlasting in February 2025, Eleutheria in September 2025 and Hush in January 2026. The catalogue also contains his edit of Chicago’s Street Player, placing edits and individual tracks alongside the vinyl-oriented releases.
His DJ recordings offer another perspective on the music. Slam Radio 661 presents an extended mix, while his documented performance history includes Bassiani, Basement New York, Tresor, RSO, Radion and BRET. These recordings and appearances complement the studio catalogue without reducing it to one repeated description of his sound.
