About
The sound
PLO Man works across DJ performance, radio and collaborative music projects. He is a member of CC Not, Globex and INTe*ra, and works with ACTING PRESS, an independent publishing project producing records, tapes and events since 2015.
His collaboration with C3D-E, public static v., began as an audiovisual performance written, performed and recorded live at LINECHECK in Milan in November 2019. ACTING PRESS released the work in 2021 as one piece divided into ten parts, carrying a live collaboration into a recorded format.
His Refuge Worldwide archive documents PLO Radio broadcasts and programmes with collaborators including Kudzu Audio, DJ Spence and roadkill. The selections span electronic and experimental music, ambient, house and dub techno. Alongside the recorded audiovisual work, those broadcasts show how individual selection and collaborative publishing meet in his practice.
