About

The sound

Priku is the Romanian DJ and producer Adrian Niculae, whose work is closely associated with Bucharest's minimal house scene. His productions have appeared on a:rpia:r and Concrete Music, while his own labels Motif and Atipic provide separate outlets for his musical ideas. Motif began in 2013 and Atipic followed in 2016. Atipic also serves as his live-performance alias, extending the detail and hypnotic movement of his DJ sets into a more exploratory production format. Across these projects, rhythm and carefully placed vocal elements connect his studio work with the dance floor.
