About

The sound

Prospa is the Leeds-born electronic duo of Harvey Blumler and Gosha Smith. Childhood friends with backgrounds in drums and guitar, they moved through dubstep, jazz and hip-hop before finding a shared direction in dance music. Early deep-house productions gave way to a sound influenced by classic rave, The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk, with breakbeats and expansive synthesizers becoming central to the project. “Prayer,” released on Stress Records in October 2018, marked a turning point in that approach. Later tracks include “Control the Party,” “WANT NEED LOVE” and “Love Songs.” Their debut album, “Free Your Mind,” arrived on CircoLoco Records in June 2026, bringing collaborators including Cloonee and KETTAMA into a collection that connects vocal house, heavy bass and the duo's rave influences.
