Purple Disco Machine is the stage project of Dresden producer Tino Piontek, whose club work grew from a deep interest in Italo disco, French house, and funk. After the 2012 breakthrough of My House and the 2017 debut Soulmatic, he developed a recognisable nu-disco and electro-funk sound through releases including Exotica and Paradise, while also remixing major pop and dance artists. His official biography records a 2023 Grammy for his remix of Lizzo's About Damn Time.
