About

The sound

Sam Divine is a house DJ, producer and broadcaster whose career includes work with Defected and the launch of DVINE Sounds. Before that wider profile, she worked at Chemical Records, building the record knowledge that informed her DJing. DVINE Sounds began with Divine, Kamilla Jilani and Jess Bays as a platform for producers seeking opportunities to release their music. Divine drew on experience in A&R at Defected, aiming to build lasting relationships with artists. In a March 2023 interview, she described returning to the label after stepping away to concentrate on her own career. That anniversary feature introduced Face in the Crowd, her collaboration with Hayley May, as part of the label's next chapter. It also highlighted DVINE releases by Nautica, DiMO and YAX.X, showing the range of producers gathered around the imprint.
