The sound

Sam Karlson is a Paris DJ, producer and remixer whose music centres on disco, funk and jackin' house. His early DJ career developed around Les Bains Douches, followed by residencies at clubs including Red Light, Mix Club, Folies Pigalle and Queen. His first productions for Robsoul Recordings helped establish that house sound on record. In 2022 he released Because of You with Michelle Weeks through Seamus Haji's Big Love imprint, with an Art of Tones remix accompanying the track. His subsequent catalogue includes work for The Disco Express, with collaborators including Barbara Tucker and Ron Carroll, as well as releases for Indy House Records, Re-Loved, Discoweey and House U. His Paris Liquid Party series has featured guests including Ultra Naté, Kenny Dope and Dimitri From Paris. On record, On the Run appeared through Mark Knight's Fools Paradise, while his remix credits include Sonic Soul Orchestra and Mishell Ivon's Stomp Your Feet.
