Samm

About

The sound

Samm is a Belgian DJ and producer whose music draws together Afro house, deep electronic sounds and melodic writing. He began learning instruments at twelve and became interested in electronic production as a teenager, experimenting with hardware and digital audio workstations as he developed his approach. Does It Matter became an early introduction to that sound, receiving support from DJs including Solomun, Adriatique and Keinemusik. Samm subsequently established Magnifik with fellow producer Ajna, combining a record label with a shared musical community. The project has presented its own stage at Extrema Outdoor, while Samm's performance history includes Tomorrowland. The Magnifik catalogue includes Attract with Ajna and Heart Spin and Muralli with JUNO. Further releases include Say What You Mean, a remix of The Bausa's Magnetic, and You Got What I Want with Franc Fala and Benja.
