About
The sound
Shermanology is the sibling duo of Andy and Dorothy Sherman, whose upbringing in Curaçao informs a sound that combines tech house with soul, deep house and UK garage. Both contribute as DJs, producers and singers, with Andy’s production work and Dorothy’s gospel-influenced vocals giving the project complementary strengths. An early collaboration with Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman, “3 Minutes to Explain,” was followed by “Automatic” with Funkerman. Their catalogue has since included releases on Defected, Wall and Spinnin’, as well as records such as “Boyz N da Club” and “It’s a Killa.” Vocals remain an important part of their approach to dance music.
