Shimza is South African DJ, producer and promoter Ashley Raphala, raised in Tembisa and recognised for an Afro-house style that balances driving percussion with warm melody and soulful vocals. His One Man Show began in 2009 as both a musical event and a community fundraiser, while Soulistic Music, Shimuzic and Kunye chart the growth of his recorded work and artist-led platforms. International touring, Cercle appearances and Ibiza residencies have expanded the reach of that sound without separating it from its social purpose.
