About

The sound

Sidney Charles is a Hamburg-born house DJ and producer, and the founder of Heavy House Society. His sound draws on 1990s house alongside jazz, funk and hip-hop, with rhythm and bass at the centre of the music. That approach connects his studio productions with his work behind the decks. Records such as “Space Bass,” “Reso Riddim” and “Trip Advisor” are part of his catalogue. Heavy House Society gives his work another outlet through label curation, alongside his own productions and DJ sets.
