Σtella

About

The sound

Σtella is the musical project of Athens songwriter and producer Stella Chronopoulou. Her pop music brings melodic guitar and keyboards into contact with disco, Tropicalia and yé-yé. Her albums include Σtella, Works for You and The Break, followed by her Sub Pop debut Up and Away in 2022. Adagio, released in 2025, was written and recorded over five years with collaborators including Rafael Cohen and Gabriel Stebbing. Produced by Σtella and mixed by Edmund Irwin-Singer, it combines nylon-string guitar, light percussion and electronic textures. Omorfo Mou and her version of Litsa Sakellariou’s Ta Vimata marked her first recorded songs in Greek. In September 2026 she released Belinda, co-produced with Rodaidh McDonald and featuring recordings by Cohen. These collaborations sit alongside a catalogue that connects her own songwriting with both contemporary pop production and Greek musical references.
