Signum

About

The sound

Signum is a Dutch trance project originally formed by Ron Hagen and Pascal Minnaard. Its recordings developed from the trance sound the pair began making in 1997, with Hagen becoming the main Signum artist in 2008. Production, remixing and DJ performance have remained the central forms of the project. The catalogue includes What Ya Got 4 Me, Coming On Strong, Push Through, First Strike and The Timelord. Collaborations with Roger Shah include Healesville Sanctuary and Ancient World, while remix work has brought the Signum sound to music by Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, ATB and Oceanlab. The first artist album, For You, brought club-oriented trance together with progressive and downtempo material, featuring Roger Shah, Antonia Lucas and Julie Thompson. Later recordings include Believe, Homage, Get Up, Miharo and Flashback. The Xposed project has also provided a setting for releases and recorded DJ selections, extending the music beyond individual singles.
