About

The sound

Silva Bumpa is a UK DJ and producer raised in Sheffield and based in Manchester. His sound moves between UK garage, bassline, speed garage and house, combining substantial bass with vocal hooks and the energy of mid-2000s club records. Piano lessons and listening to Aphex Twin, Arca and Mura Masa formed part of his early musical development. By his teens, he was exploring rave culture and the rhythms of speed garage and jacking house. His release history includes the What About The DJ? EP on Locked On Records and I Don’t Want U with Diffrnt on Room Two. A UK headline tour in 2024 brought that recorded work into a wider performance setting. Later releases include Check Dis Out, Doin’ It featuring MC DT and the Hypa EP. On 2nite, HOLD DA PHONE and Fantasy featuring Kosmo Kint followed in 2026, continuing a catalogue in which songwriting, vocals and bass-driven production work together.
