About

The sound

Solomun is a DJ, producer and label founder whose work treats electronic music as a way to connect a dancefloor through changing moods and shared listening. Diynamic, established in 2006, became an outlet for his own records and a community of artists with related musical interests. His early catalogue includes Do It Yourself, Nachrichten and Oelkersallee, followed by the album Dance Baby in 2009. The Kackvogel EP appeared through Watergate Records in 2012, while his remix work ranges from Noir and Haze's Around to Foals' Late Night and Lana Del Rey's West Coast. Nobody Is Not Loved, released in 2021, brings guest singers into a wider album format. Jamie Foxx appears on Ocean, ÄTNA on Tuk Tuk and Prospect, and Anne Clark on Take Control; further contributors include Zoot Woman, Isolation Berlin and Tom Smith. The album was followed by a remixed edition in 2022. Together, his original recordings, reinterpretations of other artists' songs and label activity show how vocal music and club production meet within his catalogue.
