SONA is a South African DJ and producer whose music draws on Afro house, deep house and experimental electronic sounds. The son of Black Coffee, he works across both DJ performance and studio production. He co-produced and co-wrote “Texts Go Green” for Drake’s album Honestly, Nevermind, bringing his production work to an international audience. His performance history includes appearances in South Africa and elsewhere across the continent, a back-to-back set with Black Coffee at the Boombox Room in Las Vegas, and debuts at La Mesa in Los Angeles and GOSPEL in New York. His sets and productions connect house rhythms with a broader electronic palette, while his work as a writer and producer forms a distinct part of his musical career.
