About
The sound
Sparrow is the Swiss DJ, producer and pianist Bryan Coletta. His instrumental background in harmony, composition and improvisation informs productions that connect soulful house with Afro-house rhythms. His work with Sparrow & Barbossa includes Yeke, Nterini and the Rampa collaboration Champion. The project released Seven Seas and the 2023 album Réciprocité, which brought together guest vocalists and remixers from across its musical network. In 2022, Coletta founded Tortuga Records, developing a platform for a Caribbean-influenced house sound. His solo work as Sparrow builds on that musical background while extending beyond the duo’s catalogue.
