About
The sound
STEF DAVIDSE is a Rotterdam house DJ and producer whose route into club music began with hip-hop production. Seeing a Luuk van Dijk set in 2018 helped turn his attention towards house, while the vocal fragments and rhythmic accents of hip-hop remained part of his approach. He builds tracks around percussion, bass and samples, drawing on that earlier listening without leaving the dance floor behind. His releases include Burnin’, developed with feedback from ANOTR, and the Airplane Mode EP with Ryan Resso on Archie Hamilton’s MicroHertz label. Advice on arrangement and production helped him develop ideas beyond their first versions. His work also extends to Electrolyte, a project connecting parties with the art-school community around him.
