Traumer

About

The sound

Traumer is the French DJ and production project of Romain Poncet, originally from Avignon. His music explores minimal and micro-house, with detailed rhythms and sound design at the centre. He learned to produce by ear and experimentation, developing an approach in which different aliases give him space to explore distinct musical ideas. In 2016 he founded get—traum as an independent outlet for his own productions. The label expanded to include music by friends and collaborators, with deep grooves and an interest in the progression of a track helping define its catalogue. Label work sits alongside his recordings and extended DJ selections. His Antraum collaboration with Anton includes Fukai, Ju and Koisuru, while projects such as Amine Laje’s Datsha add another strand to his output. The get—traum catalogue and its souvenirs releases bring those studio interests together with the music he shares as a selector.
