About
The sound
Tsuyoshi Suzuki is a Japanese DJ and producer associated with psychedelic trance. His early career connected Tokyo’s club scene with Goa, where he began making music with Nick Taylor as Taiyo, a project that later became Prana. After moving to London in 1992, he co-founded Matsuri Productions with John Perloff and became involved with the Return to the Source parties. On returning to Tokyo in 2000, he developed Madskippers and Tokio Drome, while his Joujouka project explored connections between electronic music and psychedelic rock. In 2009, Suzuki and DJ Yuta revived the Matsuri label as Matsuri Digital. His collaborations also include GoKen with Ubar Tmar, whose debut EP appeared on HOMmega in 2018.
