TVBOY is the artistic identity of Salvatore Benintende, an Italian visual artist from Palermo. His practice combines street art with pop imagery, using recognisable figures from music, cinema and public life in works made for urban spaces. He began making art as Crasto in 1996. In 2002, an exhibition in Milan introduced the TVBOY character through faces painted on old television sets. His later work moved into murals and other public interventions. His portfolio includes London portraits of Amy Winehouse, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie, as well as works in Rome and Barcelona. For iART FIVAS at Palazzo Adriano, he created murals inspired by Cinema Paradiso and its composer Ennio Morricone.
