About
The sound
X CLUB. is the Australian duo of Ben Clarke and Jesse Morath. The partnership grew from their individual DJ sets in Brisbane: a back-to-back appearance at The TBC Club led them to make music together. Their sound joins techno with jungle and drum-and-bass influences, an approach already audible in the contrasting versions of A Love on their 2019 Scum EP. The duo moved from Brisbane to London in 2022. That year’s Everything Comes True EP with Skin On Skin included Rise Up, while Only If U with Pretty Girl explored a slower, trance-influenced direction. In 2023 they launched HIDE THE JUNK with the four-track HTJ001 EP, creating a home where they could shape the records and their visual presentation together.
