About

The sound

Yanamaste is the techno DJ and producer Irakli Danelia, born and raised in Batumi, Georgia. He began with piano, drums and guitar before turning to electronic production in his teens. His productions use modular synthesizers, with melodies and polyphonic sequences built through hands-on experimentation. His catalogue includes Bipolar Mood, Dance, The Red House and Evil. The latter includes Lahante, Modulation Detected and Walking on Mars; Dance appears through Vault Records. His performance archive includes a live set recorded at KHIDI in September 2020, HATE Podcast 312, Boiler Room x Glitch Festival 2024 and Intercell recordings. These document both DJ selections and live production, while his agency biography describes the time spent testing and assembling his modular system in Berlin. His music connects a background in instrumental playing with the physical process of shaping electronic sound.
